Have you noticed something about our world right now? Do you notice the increase of evil, people turning their heads away from wrong in ignorance and the rise of acceptance.
Well, today I come to you with an urgent wake-up call of our Lord’s imminent return, of the end of our world as we know it and the coming persecution of Christ’s Church. I’m not writing this to scare you or to send you digging your head further into the sand, but to call you to rise.
Rise to see the world around you. To see those around you who haven’t heard of Christ’s love for them. Rise to pray for what lies ahead. Pray for the Christians around the world already facing death because of the Son of God they worship. Pray for the Christians in need of a wake-up call from complacent lives as lukewarm Christians and truly grab hold of the convictions and truths they believe and take a stand.
Oh my, how we need to take a stand.
Now if I can be honest, I’m both anxious and afraid. I wish I knew exactly what was going to happen, but I don’t. I wish I knew what tomorrow or next month will bring. I wish I could protect my kids from evil. But I don’t know any of those things.
What I do know and what I’m holding on to are the promises of God and His assurance that my home on this earth is not anything I will miss. I’m holding on to the victory that Christ already has over Satan. I’m holding on to the love that God has for me, my family and my Christians brothers and sisters.
I also know that no matter what happens, my place in eternity is secure. I know where my hope lies and who holds the world in His hands. I know my forever home holds such goodness and purity and holiness, I will be in utter shock and unable to say anything other than “Holy, Holy, Holy” to my King.
I’m choosing today to put my faith, hope and trust in my Heavenly Father who knows all, sees all, and loves me more than I can even begin to comprehend. No matter what tomorrow’s headlines bring or what evil seeks to kill and destroy, the King of Kings is in control of my life and I will look to Him through it all.
If you read this and know Jesus as your Savior, then join me in being bold about sharing Him with those around you. Get over your fear of what others will think of you and introduce them to the Alpha and the Omega who went to the cross for them.
So what if you don’t understand anything I’ve shared. Are you ready for what lies ahead? Are you ready to face Jesus? Do you know Him and how much He loves you? Because He does, my friend. Don’t let another moment go by without knowing Him.
