Life. It’s full of twists and turns. Highs and lows. Joys and sorrows. And every piece of our world these days seems to be attacking or challenging our faith in Christ.
It’s so tempting to hide from the world. To let others deal with the turmoil, struggles and issues. Some days I feel almost suffocated by the anxiety of life and just want to lock my family inside and cut ties with the world. To keep them safe. Self-preservation at it’s finest!
But that’s not what Jesus did. No, He came into this world as a vulnerable tiny baby. He came to reach and rescue a lost world. To show them the love of the Father in an undeniable way.
I’m convicted, challenged and full of expectation as I step into the world today trying to keep my mentality and attitude modelled after Christ.
Be the light of hope when the darkness oppresses.
Be the love of the Father poured out on a lonely world.
Be the friend to the lost and broken-hearted.
Be who God called you to be right where you are today.
Resist shutting the door to the world. Yes, it’s hard at times. Really, really hard. But remember who is in control. Remember who He is. Remember that the story ends with good triumphing over evil.
Remember who He is.
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” – Revelation 4:8b
So who will you be in the world?
